Something Missing here in this picture can you see it? I would guess this would have been pretty loud going down the interstate I-81 is where he came from. Personally I think the SAFE thing to do would have been pull over WHEN you notice something like this, not continue driving WAITING for the rest of it to fly apart.

One Of Those Days

Today seemed like one of those days you wish was a Friday because it goes by so fast. I don't feel like I got anything done today at work, just started a whole bunch of new things but never completed anything really. That would be due to things I have ordered getting put on back order or whatever. Something that really got me mad a few weeks ago was a salesman came to our shop trying to sell a new home networking system they started to carry. Well it just so happened that we needed one on this job so I had them get me one, well one week turned to two and so on well finally
our purchasing agent called to see where it was and they had to order it and it was en route they told us. I just think that's bad business to offer something as a wholesaler then not have it in stock or readily available.

Safty Tips
The holiday season is almost here and many of us are probably preparing for it. Be safe and be aware of what you are purchasing.
Counterfeit Goods: Not All Products Are What They Appear
Counterfeit electrical products may look just like other decorations we buy, but their similarities
end there. Counterfeits are not made to the same high standards and DO NOT offer the
protection from fire and shock that certified products do.
Buyers should beware of bargains that seem too good to be true. Products may be inexpensive because they are counterfeit or defective.
Avoid no-name products and purchase from reputable retailers.
Look for the UL, CSA or ETL-SEMKO certification marks. Check the warning label. It should be
free of grammatical errors and not conflict with information elsewhere on the package.

messing with Gimp
I use Linux for about everything I do, today I was messing around with gimp and was playing with the animation part of it. I have paintshop pro on a my dell but I like Gimp better is a little more user friendly and I think things are laid out a little clearer in the menu. As far as Microsoft products go I just Nuked XP media center off one of my other computers and installed Kubuntu on it because I put a new Readon card in it last week and XP has given me nothing but problems with it. all driver related but kubuntu discovered it right away. Problem solved. As far as I am concerned I dont need Microsoft for anything I do, yet My wife still uses it (the Dell).

New Jobsite

Today we got to start a new job because we are still waiting for part of the service at the old farmhouse. This a pair of restrooms at a stadium. nothing fancy just a service some heaters, lights and couple of plugs. I would much rather do commercial work over residential work, so I was happy today.

We also noticed there a whole bunch of new houses going in behind here.

Election
What a day, we worked at a school again today replacing ballast's. They had the polls set up in a classroom so we kept clear of that part of the school because of the amount of traffic. One of the school employee's told us that the amount of people voting was double what it has been in years past. Guess we should know the outcome in the morning.
